What's verified
Identity, control and standing.
Legal identity
Legal name, RUT and registration route confirmed against Chile's official registries.
Representatives & ownership
Who is authorized to sign, and what is publicly known about ownership structure.
Standing
Active status, litigation exposure and insolvency filings (Boletín Concursal), where applicable.
Why generic KYB tools miss Chile.
Most global KYB platforms cover the US, EU and a handful of large markets well — and treat everything else as a thin, generic lookup. Chile's RUT system, dual registries and SII tax documents rarely get proper support.
Trantor was built the other way: Chile first, translated for a non-Chilean team.
Frequently asked
About KYB checks on Chilean companies.
What is a KYB check?
Know Your Business (KYB) is the business equivalent of KYC (Know Your Customer): confirming a company's legal identity, ownership and standing before you transact with it, onboard it as a vendor, or extend it credit.
What makes a KYB check on a Chilean company different?
Chile identifies every taxpayer with a RUT, runs two parallel company-registration systems, and gives companies a free tax document (Carpeta Tributaria) that most KYB tools outside Chile don't know to ask for.
Is a KYB check the same as a credit report?
No. KYB confirms who the company is and who owns/controls it. A credit report goes further into whether it can pay. Trantor covers both in one flow.
